Welcome to Book Butler. By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Book Butler is a reading journal and social application developed by Book Butler LLC. The app allows users to track reading, discover new books, connect with other readers, and find local points of interest.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Book Butler. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or through Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary.
You retain ownership of all content you create within Book Butler, including journal entries, reviews, ratings, and recommendations. By submitting content to public or social features (reviews, recommendations, chat messages, follows), you grant Book Butler LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content within the Book Butler platform.
You agree not to submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
Chat messages are automatically deleted from our servers when a chat session ends. Once deleted, messages cannot be recovered.
Your journal entries are private by default and are not visible to other users. We do not read, analyze, or share the content of your journal entries for any purpose other than storing and displaying them to you within the app.
Book Butler offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions (Concierge) are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled by the respective platform. We do not collect or store payment information.

The Book Butler app, website, logo, design, and all related materials are the property of Book Butler LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. AI-generated content such as review summaries is the property of Book Butler LLC.
Book Butler uses artificial intelligence to generate book review summaries. These are provided for informational purposes and may not reflect the views of any individual reader. AI-generated content is clearly labeled within the app.
Book Butler integrates with third-party services including, but not limited to, Google Books, Open Library, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Apple App Store, and Google Play, as well as providers for analytics, email delivery, location services, and subscription management. Your use of these integrated features is subject to the respective third-party terms of service and privacy policies.
We strive to maintain the availability of Book Butler but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Book Butler LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Book Butler. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Book Butler is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. Book recommendations, ratings, and reviews are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Florida for any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of Book Butler.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Book Butler LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Book Butler after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
